This piece was inspired by the recent loss of our peach fronted conure Peachy who we rescued from a non profit organisation parrot rescue. Peachy came to us with a broken wing and a sad history from previous owners, meaning he did not at all trust humans and was extremely nervous. He came to us with Eddie who we also fostered, a fiery sun conure who was Peachy's bonded partner. Eventually Peachy began to trust us more and more and would approach for food (he loved grapes), stepped up when you asked him to and would also give you a good night kiss! By rehoming Peachy, it meant that he got to live out his final years in a safe and loving home, alongside another conure partner!

I will be donating all of the proceeds of the sale of this print to the non profit that we fostered Peachy from to allow them to carry out the work that they do rescuing parrots from unsafe homes, paying high vet bills and allowing domesticated parrots to be homed in a warm and loving home.
